Heyy, These drawings are so awesome. For your Color&Story painted/finished characters I think you should incorporate the linework. You don't have to do a flushed out painting--he doesn't require that--and by using linework in your color versions, it will help keep the presence your characters have in your sketches. If you do end up using linework, consider different values and hues for it, other than straight up black line.
