More 2009 Sketchbook

Digital Life

Here is my first post from my digital life drawing class. It's a tough process but Im feeling a bit better every time I try painting in photoshop. The background hasn't been treated and the figure is not entirely complete, but Im happy with what I did get done in the short painting period.

Sketchbook Fall 2009

Here are a couple pages from my sketchbook. On the second page there is the image of a man looking down reading. I drew him in a coffeeshop as I was waiting for my girlfriend to finish work, and just as I was finishing the sketch he started shooting little glares at me. I feel I captured his likeness pretty well. On a side note, this sketchbook is the Kyle/Meg Walling Wedding sketchbook from 2007. Gifts were given by the groom to all of the groomsmen, and my gift was this sketchbook.

This is a project for my Dynamic Sketching class in which we draw on random scrap pieces of paper, compile a certain amount per week and make it into a book at the end of the term. I found these fliers at work and drew on them with a ball point pen.

I designed a couple album covers in illustrator for an expressive type project. The text is hand drawn, scanned and treated in photoshop a bit. The designs were made in illustrator.
